AUDIO BLOCK DISCOUNT RATES
Block discount rates are "locked in" with a 50% deposit paid in advance,
towards a selected block of session time.

1-4 hours @$70 per hour
5-9 hours @$65 per hour
10-29 hours @$59 per hour
30 hours & up @$54 per hour

*** POLICY ***
We do not release tapes, CDs or anything we produce until the final bill is
paid in full. If you need to leave the studio with partial masters of "works
in progress"... then we will need the balance of all charges (including Block Rates) paid in full.
We can often negotiate this in part, but we will not release copies or masters without full payment.

AUDIO DAY RATE
10 hour block day @$565/day (@$56.50/hour)
Extra hours on the same day are @$70 per hour

EXTRA COSTS
Backups of computer DAW data @25/hour
Audio services requiring video decks add @10/hour
Rentals, Talent, Tapes, CDR media, Materials, Online Services or Misc. Extra Costs
are all charged for as they occur...

CD MASTERING
All Mastering & Editing Services @$75 per hour

CAUTION: If you're at a studio who uses near field monitors, has square plaster walls treated with foam, and tells you
that they can master your CD in 2-3 hours... grab your masters and run! Your music deserves better!

We have mastered numerous CD's, songs and projects. Each project and genre receives a unique set of criteria
and custom processing. Unlike what some studios practice, mastering is not using a multiband compressor!
True mastering requires a diverse application of processing software, an accurate monitoring system, a tuned room
with flat acoustics and a skilled mastering engineer who has an ear for presentation and understands industry-wide
standards. We can lift the veil off of your recordings and provide you true mastering services.
Depending on the quality of your final mix, we may have to spend more or less time. If your mix has noise,
we can remove it. Every mastering project requires a custom processing path. We will listen to your recording(s)
at no charge and discuss your specific needs and concerns. Then we will make our recommendations.
If you want simple low cost one pass type mastering, we can do that too...
just as long as YOU understand that doing so IS NOT true mastering. True MASTERING is a skillful art & process!

PRODUCER FEES
All standard session rate hours included Gary Boggess' expertise.
However, if your CD or project needs over budgeting assistance, access to major songwriters,
musicians, various talent, scheduling, legal advisements, and overall executive management,
then you need a producer to run the entire production. Gary Boggess can negotiate such projects
for either a flat fee, a percentage or by other means to provide you his services
compensated to the extent that they are required.

AUDIO POST PRODUCTION EDITORIAL SERVICES
for Video, Television & Feature Films
Rates for audio post production services are negotiated on a "per project" per project
This includes the following services:
Dialog, Background, Sound Effects Editing, Sound Effects Design, Foley,
Music Editing, Scoring, Soundtrack Mixing & Associated Mastering & M&E'S

We require a locked picture, and a spotting session to evaluate audio post cost.
Every film requires different levels of editorial needs. Plans for domestic and/or foriegn
distribution also affect costs.  If true M&E's are required, then the costs are highest.
The average 90 min. indie feature requires anywhere from 900 to 6000 hours
for all the following categories of sound:

Dialog - Editing, Eq's, room tone, balancing, ADR with locale ambience matching

Foley - Cloth on all gestures & movements, walking, prop handling, specials like "card games" or fights

Sound Effects Design - Explos, cars, gags, Sci-fi, demolitions, flying bus, and other creative images

Hard Effects - Doors, phones, guns, comedy events, impacts, horns, light switch, splash

Ambiences-Backgrounds (BG's) - BG's can be multilayered, some placed into surrounds

Music Editing - Your music or ours. (Music scoring is charged separate from posting)

Soundtrack Mix & 5.1 - We can provide finals mixes meeting industry standards.
However, we provide stereo mixes as standard for indie films. In most cases, our mix is
delivered as pre-mixed stems/tracks so that the producer can take it anywhere for final mixing,
at a mix stage of his choice. We can produce 5.1 mixes in Sony Vegas.
(Surround sound adds additional time to the sessions.)

MUSIC SCORING, ARRANGING, COMPOSER FEES
Rates for these services are negotiated on a "per project" basis

SUPERVISORY, GENERAL EXPERTISE & CONSULTING
In the studio concerning a project to be produced here at BMS or in-house @$50/hour
