In 2000, we relocated our full service recording facility from Ohio
to Tampa, Florida.
After (18) months of construction, we opened our new facility in April
2002.
The new studio features a
Control Room
with "mirror image" room design,
acoustically floating walls,
a
Machine
Room
and
a
Voiceover-ISO
Room
with
an sunny countryside
view!
We believe
if your music is worth recording, its worth recording right!
To
us, it's all about quality!
To start with, BMS has both full range 15" studio
monitors and near field speaker systems.
And unlike makeshift studios that use foam, cork, blankets or worse on their
"square" plaster walls...
the BMS studio was built from the ground up to meet strict acoustical standards
for pro audio production.
From the wall construction to the 96% silent air conditioning system (HVAC),
we had one mission:
to guarantee our clients that the quality they hear
in the studio is on the CD they leave with!
These details insure that our music production, mixing
&
CD
MASTERING
is the best possible.
And while the studio exceeds most professional standards... our rates
are affordable to musicians.
In the Fall of 2006, we upgraded the entire facility with all new computers,
audio & MIDI systems,
including four powerful instrument samplers: the Emulator e6400, (2) e6400
Ultras and the e4X
Turbo.
Numerous software upgrades include true 'Red Book spec' professional
CD mastering
software.
Recently, we invested in stealth
software tools for our forensic audio and
restoration
services.

1976...
Our main focus
is
professional
music production, scoring and sound effects design.
Boggess Music & Sound is
unique because it's an artists' studio...
built around the talents of
musician,
Gary Boggess. He has 36 years of professional experience in the industry
as a signed recording artist,
musician, composer and producer of music and sound.
After music school and seven years touring and
recording, Boggess realized that he needed to record his own music. So,
he created BMS, as a means
to continue his work as a composer. In time, it became obvious that the studio
evolved
into a unique service to offer other musicians.
Now, Boggess' services to musical artists are provided within the framework
of a full service studio.
Gary has provided production services for practically every type of venue,
which of course led Boggess
into feature films! Boggess can provide filmmakers scoring, sound
effects design, Foley effects and
complete audio post editorial services. To some people, it may seem odd that
one person can cover so
many disciplines of sound production. But when you've spent years recording
sound, tweaking oscillators
and synth patches, playing in rock and jazz fusion bands and scoring
music for live theatrical plays...
it happens.
During sessions at BMS, our clients are provided
not ONLY a recording
engineer...
but an accomplished musical artist and sound
producer.
Boggess' creative skills can be an invaluable
asset to songwriters, musicians and vocalists to achieve truly world class
productions.

BMS
provides complete audio post production and automated mixing (to picture)
for video, feature films
and other multimedia productions. Our sound editorial services include: Foley,
hard effects design, BG's,
dialog editing, ADR and original music scoring. As a sound effects designer,
Gary can bring your logos,
graphics and computer animations to life with original music & sound
effects! Boggess has worked
with some of Hollywood's finest film audio editors & sound effects
designers. He has produced
entire
film audio
soundtracks, from production audio... all the way to the final mix.
In August 2006, Boggess finished audio posting the 90 minute feature length
film, "Loren
Cass"
where
he rebuilt 90% of the films scenes entirely from scratch with
Foley and sound design.
Although Boggess has a tremendous collection of original sound effects
he's created for his own library,
BMS also has
the
Sound Ideas SFX CD
Library
including:
